| Kuantan - Kuantan is located near the midway point of the picturesque east coast, and is a bustling town and major stopover for travellers heading north, south or across the peninsula. The town is a charming combination of old and new. Shop-houses, souvenir shops, antiques and handcrafts can be found on Jalan Besar. At the centre of town is a field fronting a colonial-style courthouse and the magnificent State Mosque. The Kuantan riverbank offers plenty of activity and a ferry crosses the wide river to the small fishing village of Kampung Tanjung Lumpur for souvenirs and handicrafts. |

| Telok Chempedak Baech - Kuantan's most famous beach is located 4km out of town. Marked by a rocky headland at each end, the beach is fronted by a promenade with a number of shops, restaurants, souvenir and food stalls. The beach area is a popular meeting place and a park on a promontory nearby has some walking and recreational areas. From the beach there is a short trail through the Tuluk Chempedak Forest Reserve to the more private Pelindung beach. Here are located nightclubs and a plaza with handicraft shops and food stalls. |

Other Beaches - Taman Gelora - Aroud 3 km from Kuantan along the way to TC, is a beautiful park called Gelora Park. Various sport activities could be done here including jogging, aerobic dance, exercising, tennis, beach volleyball etc. You can admire the Lotus if you want.
Balok - A beach that famous with wind surfing, is around 13 km away from Kuantan. |

| Gua Charah (Charah Cave) - Outside of Kuantan in the town of Panching is the Gua Charah (Charah Cave), which contains a statue of the Sleeping Buddha, carved out of the rocks. When the sun is at a certain angle in July, light penetrates the cave and the reclining Buddha's head is lit up. There is a steep climb up an external stairway to the cave entrance. |

| Waterfalls of Kuantan - Berkelah Waterfalls and Sungai Pandan Waterfalls - Both of these spectacular falls are located in the Berkelah Forest Reserve area, which is some 50km out of Kuantan. From the main road there is a jungle trek of some 8km through the forest to reach the falls. The highest peak of cascading water is some 150m over a massive rock face into a large pool. There are public resting and recreational facilities at the base. |

| Cherating - Asia first Club Med situated here. A lot of water fun here including yatching, surfing, swimming, etc. Nearby there is a turtle sanctuary. You can find some information about turtle here. A lot of handicraft could be found too. |
