| At nearly 5000m high, Mount Kinabalu is one of the highest mountains in South-East Asia and dominates the landscape in the Kinabalu National Park. The 2-day climb to the top is one of the highlights of this area, and should be attempted only by the physically fit. A trail leads to the top, with resting places and shelters along the route, and a guide must accompany all climbers. On a good clear morning, with the sun rising, and before clouds begin to gather, the view of Sabah from the top of Mount Kinabalu is breathtaking. |
